The Capital Region Bitcoin Network was started by Kendal Pappas as a result of the lack of crypto communities in New York and wanting to create a local community around Bitcoin.
The first meetup was held on Thursday, May 11th 2023. Meetups allow for open discussion about Bitcoin news and common questions surrounding the currency.
